Essential Job Functions: This position will serve as the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) office program assistant. Responsibilities will include providing administrative support to the Director and Instructional Design Coordinator, preparing correspondence, maintaining files, processing instructor payments, monitoring the CATL budget, and tracking expenditures. Additional tasks include assembling of information and preparing materials for the New Faculty Orientation Program and other CATL activities. This position will also maintain the CATL library and assist in keeping the CATL website up to date. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of WISDM Peoplesoft financials software, Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and in a self-directed fashion.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to work with and reconcile budgets and prepare associated reports
  • Knowledge of UW System, UW-Green Bay, and unit policies and procedures, including budgetary rules, will be required in a reasonable time period.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Good work habits, such as attendance, punctuality, accountability, thoroughness, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to operate office machines (i.e. fax machine, scanner, printer, copier).
Conditions of Appointment:

Employment will require a criminal background check. A pending criminal charge or conviction will not necessarily disqualify an applicant. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

A six-month probationary period will also be required. The work hours for this position will be between 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Salary: Starting hourly wage for this position is $12.924 per hour. This position is in pay schedule and range 02-09. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement plan (Total Compensation Estimator).
