Key Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) Rotations

• Green Bay Area:

  • St. Mary's Hospital, Bellin Hospital or St. Vincent Hospital - General medicine and surgery, with potential specialties such as renal, eating disorders, Pediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care, Bariatric and Oncology
  • Shawano Hospital MNT or Door County Hospital MNT - general medicine and surgery
  • Long-term Care MNT - Area Nursing Homes

• Fox Cities Area:

  • Appleton Medical Center, Agnesian, Fond du Lac, Theda Clark Medical Center or St. Elizabeth Hospital- General medicine and surgery, with potential specialties such as renal, eating disorders, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, Bariatric, sub-acute care and oncology
  • Mercy Medical Center Community Hospital, New London Hospital, or Berlin Hospital - General medicine and surgery
  • Renal - Dialysis Clinics in Green Bay, Fox Cities, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac.

• St. Paul's Elder Services FS, Kaukauna - food service production subsystems
• Thedacare FS - Theda Clark or Appleton Medical Center food service subsystems
• St. Norbert FS - St. Norbert College - school food service
• Ashwaubenon School FS - Ashwaubenon schools - school food service
• Green Bay School FS - Green Bay schools - school food service
• Appleton Public School FS - Appleton Public Schools school food service
• Menasha Joint School District FS - school food service
• Oshkosh Schools - school food service
• Howard-Suamico District - school food service
• De Pere Schools - school food service
• A'viands - University of Wisconsin-Green Bay - school food service

Community Rotations

• OPEN - Intern selection of choice and availability
• WIC - Oneida Community Health Center (OHC), Northeastern Wisconsin Community Clinic (NEW), Manitowoc County, Outagamie County, Fond du Lac County or Winnebago County
• Wellness  - Appleton YMCA, Green Bay YMCA, Fond du Lac YMCA, Oneida, Bay Natural, Gold's Gym, Fox-West YMCA, Festival Foods
• U.W. Extension - Door, Oconto, Outagamie and Waupaca
• St. Joseph Food Program
• Affinity Lifespan & Corporate Nutrition Program - located in St. Elizabeth Hospital - focus group education
• Outagamie Public Health
• Manitowoc County Department of Aging and Disability
• Menomonee Tribal Clinic

Relief and RD Exam

• Relief - Independent elective rotation at MNT site, incorporated in MNT rotation
• RD Exam Prep - Scheduled time to prepare for the exam - review and sample tests

Professional Development

• Orientation
• Attend and participate in Wisconsin Dietetic Association meetings and/or WISPEN
• RD exam preparation and CDR

Rotations

• Will be scheduled for Monday thru Thursday (possible occasional weekend) at sites, unless otherwise noted on the schedule

Class at UW-Green Bay/Fox City Location

• Friday 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; unless otherwise noted
