Human Development

Advising

The Human Development department assigns new majors/minors to a faculty advisor based on student last name. Different faculty members are responsible for students with different last names. Once assigned, students remain with their advisor until they graduate, even if we change our alphabetical assignments for new students.

Please check your Student Information System (SIS) account to see if you have already been assigned an advisor in Human Development (see the Figure below for where the advisor information is listed). Again, please continue to see the faculty person assigned to you. If you have a concern about that procedure, you can also contact the Department Chair, Dr. Kris Vespia

If you want to declare a Human Development major or minor, there is a formal process you need to follow. Please review the instructions on the Declaring a Major or Minor page.

Fall 2012 Advisors

This list of advisors is for "New Students" interested in declaring a HUMAN DEVELOPMENT or PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR/MINOR.

If you have already been assigned a Human Development or Psychology advisor, and/or if you are making changes to your current Human Development or Psychology plan, please continue to see the same faculty advisor rather than using the table below.

If you do not remember who your advisor is, you can find that information in SIS.
