As described in more detail in our learning outcomes, Human Development students should develop:
- Basic skills, such as computer literacy and oral and written communication
- Theoretical knowledge of interdisciplinary perspectives on lifespan development
- Research skills, such as designing and critically evaluating studies
- Application abilities that enable them to use their knowledge to solve problems and function effectively in work, research, and other settings
- Diversity appreciation and knowledge or an understanding of ways in which culture, gender, social class, and more may influence developmental processes
