Essential Job Functions

The Admissions Department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is seeking applicants for two Admissions Advisor positions. Applicants to this posting will be considered for both positions.

The successful candidates will be responsible for recruiting students and providing support to prospects as they progress through the admissions process. Duties also include advising on academic planning, programs, and requirements for degree options; serving as a representative of UW-Green Bay with partner institutions to increase branding awareness; and tracking recruitment data to identify trends.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruiting procedures that allow for successful monitoring and initiation of strategies to increase lead generation and prospect yield rates.
  • Respond to all incoming email interactions and phone calls to advise prospects on program offerings.
  • Schedule phone and face to face appointments.
  • Meet with prospective students at offsite events and table visits.
  • Serve on recruitment team.
  • Recruit students through participation in education fairs, consortiums, community and corporate recruitment functions, ongoing visits to Wisconsin. Technical College System (WTCS) institutions, etc.
  • Provide online and face-to-face information sessions.
  • Build relationships with advisors and leadership at WTCS institutions and other technical and community colleges.
  • Serve on division and university committees that are focused on the recruiting function with the University.
  • Refer student to other campus and community resources as appropriate: faculty mentors, career counselors, financial aid advisors, other student service representatives, and external resources when appropriate
  • Collaborate with Admissions Department to ensure efficient and effective recruiting is being done on behalf of the University.
  • Respond to all incoming interactions and/or assign to appropriate recruiters.
  • Analyze data from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to support recruitment and marketing to aid in decision making and goal setting.
  • Create events to document and track success of all recruitment visits.
  • Provide consistent cleanup of data for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree at time of application
  • One year of experience in higher education or recruitment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in counseling, higher education, business, or related field
  • Experience working with returning adult students
  • Experience with CRM, PeopleSoft, and/or other student database programs
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Hmong

Conditions of Appointment

Travel and occasional evenings/weekends are required.

Positions are full-time Academic Staff appointments.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Salary

Salary range of $36,000-$42,000
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
