Working Title:  Assistant Director of Multimedia Services
UW System Title:  Associate Media Specialist

Essential Job Functions

The Assistant Director of Multimedia Services reports to the Director of Strategic Communications and oversees all video and multimedia efforts for the Green Bay Athletic Department. These videos and multimedia efforts include but are not limited to production and execution of live video broadcasts (ESPN3), creative video content for web and social usage, production of various highlight and commercial packages, oversight of temporary and student staff.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Oversees all video and multimedia efforts for the Green Bay Athletic Department, working with all resources and staff within Phoenix Athletics.
  • Coordinates production of all live video events (over 50 events per year) on ESPN3 and other platforms.
  • Supervises all game-day production staff; determines schedules for staffing and equipment for all live broadcasts.
  • Creates highlight and promotional video content that will appear online, on video boards, and be disseminated to media as well as various other platforms.
  • Shoots and edits feature content for Green Bay Athletics social media channels and greenbayphoenix.com.
  • Produces high-quality video features to highlight the University's student-athletes.
  • Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students' parents, faculty, co-workers and managers.
  • Trains all video production staff and gives constructive feedback.
  • Keeps up to date with all emerging technology. Makes recommendations about future equipment needs.
  • Liaison to television networks that broadcast Green Bay Phoenix home events.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree at time of application
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a valid driver's license upon appointment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Multimedia, Computer Science or similar degree at time of application
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premier or corresponding software on both PC and Apple products
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent graphics software
  • Knowledge of lettering and animation software (e.g. Adobe After Effects)

Conditions of Appointment

Evening and weekend hours will be frequent.

Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Salary

Salary range of $32,102 - $34,000.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
