Advisors
The Human Development department assigns each major/minor with a faculty advisor based on students' last names. Different faculty members are responsible for students with different last names.
Please check your Student Information System (SIS) account to see if you have already been assigned an advisor (see the Figure below for where the advisor information is listed). Please continue to see the faculty person assigned to you.
If you have not declared a Human Development major or minor before, you must first complete our on-line pre-declaration of major/minor form. You can use the grid below to find your Human Development advisor’s name, which you will need to include on that form. After you submit the on-line pre-declaration, you must contact your Human Development advisor to set up a meeting to learn more about the program and complete the official paperwork necessary to declare the major or minor. You will not be officially declared as a major or minor until AFTER that meeting with your advisor.
Please contact me, Dr. Kristin Vespia, Chair of Human Development, if you have any concerns about advising.
Spring 2012 Advisors
This list of advisors is for “New Students” interested in declaring a HUMAN DEVELOPMENT and/or PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR AND/OR MINOR.
Note: If you are not already declared, as indicated above, you must complete the Human Development/Psychology on-line pre-declaration of major/minor form before you meet with your advisor. After you submit the on-line pre-declaration, you must contact your Human Development advisor to set up a meeting to learn more about the program and complete the official paperwork necessary to declare the major or minor. You will not be officially declared as a major or minor until AFTER that meeting with your advisor.
Note: If you have already been assigned an advisor, please continue to see that faculty person. If you do not remember who your advisor is, it is listed on your SIS webpage.
