Before you declare a Human Development major/minor
We would like to make sure you have as enjoyable and useful an advising experience as possible, and so we have a pre-declaration process designed to help you get to know the program better and help your advisor get to know you and your goals better. The first step in declaring a major or minor is to complete that on-line pre-declaration form. After you submit the form, you must meet with your Human Development advisor to complete the official paperwork necessary to declare the major or minor. You will not be officially declared as a major or minor until AFTER that meeting with your advisor. Advisors are assigned to new majors/minors based on students’ last names. You can find your advisor’s name by referring to the grid on our Advising page. Once you are assigned an advisor, you stay with that person for your time at UW-Green Bay; you will not have to change advisors just because we change our alphabetical assignments.
Important Instructions: Please allow up to 30 minutes to complete the pre-declaration form. To complete the form, you will be asked to review important documents and websites. You will also need to answer questions about your goals related to the Human Development learning outcomes and courses. You will need to be able to refer to those outcomes and the course list as you answer the questions. Please be prepared by either printing out this information before you begin or by opening a separate on-line tab or browser window so that you can move back and forth between the form and the Human Development website.
