Dr. Schnurr holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University and teaches "Infancy & Early Childhood" and "Middle Childhood & Adolescence." She conducts research on adolescents' romantic relationships, adolescents' perpetration of dating violence, and the effects of the school, family, and neighborhood environments on adolescents' development. She is interested in working with students on research.
