Regents Teaching Excellence Awards

RESPONSE DUE BY JANUARY 28, 2008 IF INTERESTED 

Call for Nominations and Guidelines for Teaching Awards for
Outstanding Faculty and Teaching Academic Staff

 The UW System Office of Academic Affairs is inviting nominations for the 2008 Regents Teaching Excellence Awards.  Two $5,000 awards will be given to faculty and academic staff members at UW System institutions in recognition of outstanding career achievement in teaching.  The award winner will be honored at a Board of Regents meeting.  Winners and other nominees will be invited to contribute to System-sponsored programs focused on teaching excellence. 

If you are interested in nominating yourself or a colleague please send me an e-mail by January 28, 2008 with a brief statement indicating why you think you or this individual should be nominated for this award.  If more than one individual is interested in applying this year, the Deans and Provost will choose one to represent UW-Green Bay.

Guidelines and selection criteria are attached (click on Guidelines link below).  Only the department selected to represent UW-Green Bay will need to assemble all of the documentation indicated.

The UW System Office of Academic Affairs is inviting nominations for the 2008 Regents Teaching Excellence Awards.  One $5,000 award will be given to an academic department, program or other academic unit.  This award aims to recognize an academic department, program or unit that demonstrates exceptional commitment to and effectiveness in teaching.  The award winner will be honored at a Board of Regents meeting.  Winners and other nominees will be invited to contribute to System-sponsored programs focused on teaching excellence.

 If you are interested in having your department/program be UW-Green Bay's 2008 nominee the department or program chair should send me an e-mail by January 28, 2008 with a brief statement indicating why you think your department should be nominated for this award.  If more than one department is interested in applying this year, the Deans and Provost will choose one to represent UW-Green Bay.
