What is Information Sciences?
 

Welcome to the Information Sciences Homepage!  The central concept of this interdisciplinary major is information - its structures in verbal, visual, and quantitative forms; its storage, analysis, evaluation, processing and communication by both machines and people. The curriculum ranges widely across several disciplines, all of which are represented in the core requirements - computing, linguistics, cognitive psychology, communication theory, organizational communication and management, mathematics, information technologies, and language.  To learn more about this major and minor, click on the Is Information Sciences For Me? button in the left navigation area.
