Kathy Pletcher has served as the CIO & Associate Provost for Information Services since 1997 with responsibilities for Computing & Information Technology, Library, Learning Technology Center, Telecommunications, Engineering & Medias Services, and Web Services. She works collaboratively with campus constituents in setting priorities for the deployment of information technology to support the teaching, research, service and administrative goals of the university. The Information Services Division is committed to a culture of service, instructional technology innovation and best business practices.
The CIO serves as a member of the senior administrative councils of the University, chairs the Technology Council, serves as a member of the University of Wisconsin System CIO Council, and represents the University's information technology interests at the regional, state and national level.

The purpose of the Library and Instructional Technology Committee is provide advice to the Associate Provost for Information Services regarding instructional technology and library policies and services.
