Tony Galt Student Travel Scholarship
Tony Galt spent 34 years at UW-Green Bay teaching Social Change and Development and Chairing the Anthropology Department. Professor Galt is remembered for his many contributions to campus, including being the first to integrate Web-technology into his courses and publishing several books on Anthropology and Italy. Professor Galt inspired others to experience new adventures and see the beauty of the world through travel and photography.
In Professor Galt’s memory, the Tony Galt Student International Travel Scholarship Fund will award one student per year a $2,500 scholarship for use in enhancing their academic experiences as participants in UW-Green Bay Study Abroad Programs, through overseas research and independent study, or enrollment in foreign universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Fully complete and signed application
2. Currently enrolled UW-Green Bay student of at least sophomore status in good academic standing
3. Will participate in an overseas academic program
4. Personally meet with scholarship donors following the sojourn abroad to discuss program outcomes and experiences
