International Students - Overview

The campus is almost 3 square kilometers, with its own golf course, bay-front Park, and 7 kilometers of hiking trails. The University has approximately 5,500 students, with about 30% of them living on campus. UW-Green Bay is home to the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Students can generally obtain tickets to most performances at discounted rates.
City of Green Bay
Green Bay is located in northeastern Wisconsin, with a population of about 100,000. The city is about 120 miles (193km) north of Milwaukee, the state's largest city and is 3 ½ hours to Chicago and 4 ½ hours to Minneapolis. The city is well known for its professional NFL football team, the Green Bay Packers and close proximity to beautiful Door County. There are plenty of entertainment opportunities such as camping, hiking, shopping, movies and more. Some of Green Bay's other attractions include:

International Students at UW-Green Bay
UW-Green Bay is home to approximately 70 international students from all over the world. Some of these students are exchange students, who study here for one or two semesters from one of our partner universities and some students are degree-seeking international students who complete their bachelors or masters degree at this university. UW-Green Bay also hosts visiting scholars, professors, and researchers from around the world. The Office of International Education (OIE) is responsible for orienting and advising international and exchange students who study at UW-Green Bay.
Orientation
Each semester, the OIE conducts a mandatory orientation program for all new incoming international and exchange students the week before classes begin.
