Prospective Exchange Visitors
The Exchange Visitor Program is administered through the U.S. Department of State. It provides foreign nationals with opportunities to participate in exchange programs in the United States and then return home to share their experiences.

Exchange Student Information: If you are applying for admission to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for one or two semesters and you are a student of:
Universität Kassel: Kassel , Germany
Universidad de Leon: Leon, Spain
Aalborg University: Aalborg, Denmark
The Hague School for European Studies (HEBO): The Hague, Netherlands
Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan: Merida, Mexico
or attend a participating institution within the state of Hessen, Germany
Students from our partner universities are exempt from paying tuition for the semester or year that they participate in the exchange program. Please contact the International Office or Study Abroad Office at your home University to inquire about studying at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.
As an exchange student, you must submit the proper application materials, which include an application form, transcripts/grades/certificates from prior education, financial certification form, dependant information sheet (if applicable), housing request information, etc. After we receive and review this information, the OIE will send you an official acceptance letter along with the proper immigration forms, which you will use to apply for your J1 exchange visitor visa. For more information about J1 visa regulations, please check out the OIE Immigration Information page.
If you have any questions, please contact Kristin Aoki, International Student Services Advisor.
