First Time Submission Assistance
Welcome to the IRB. Our job is to help make sure that your research project is designed in such a way that it minimizes the risk to human participants (for research involving animal subjects, see the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee; IACUC).
If this is your first submission to the UWGB IRB, there are several things you will need to do before submitting your proposal.
1. Read
The Belmont
Report (can be found on the IRB homepage)
2. Obtain an IRB Training Certificate (see “Obtaining
an IRB Training Certificate”)
3. Familiarize yourself with the
IRB
Policy and Procedures Manual (can be found on the IRB
homepage)
4. Explore each of the links on the homepage under “Submission
Assistance and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions”
