Fall 2002 Enrollment Update

End of First Week of Priority Registration (4/15/2002)

Note:  Due to the implementation of the new student information system, the timing of priority registration is very different from prior years (1).  The enrollment reports for Fall 2002 will not show comparisons to prior years until after priority registration ends in mid-May.  You may view last year's reports on line by referring to the links at the end of this document.

(1) In past years, priority registration was spaced over four weeks, compared to five weeks this year. There are additional timing differences that resulted in moving back the bulk of undergraduate registration by several days compared to last year.
(2) Tuition value estimates are based on students' academic levels, credit loads and residencies.  These estimates are currently based on 2001-02 rates because 2002-03 rates have not been set.
(3) EDP data come from April 2, 2002 and cover the enrollment period from 1/1/2002 through 6/30/2002.

Highlights

  • Perhaps the most important registration news is that we are, indeed, actively and successfully registering students for Summer and Fall 2002 using the new student information system.

  • Our tuition revenue target for 2002-03 has not been established.

  • Our Fall 2002 total FTE target is 4,357.  It has remained the same for three years.

  • FTE targets for the new student categories will be set at the next meeting of the Enrollment Management Committee (April 26).
