(1) Tuition value estimates are based on students' academic levels, credit loads
and residencies and 2002/03
tuition rates.
(2) EDP data cover the enrollment period from 7/1/2002 through the present.
Highlights
All currently enrolled students
have had a chance to register for Spring 2003. Last year, the total
FTE increased 3.9% after this point in the enrollment cycle. If a
similar pattern is followed this year, we will enroll 4129 FTE.
The University is continuing the recent
trend of enrolling fewer students who are taking heavier credit
loads. In other words, the number of students needed to reach the
FTE goals continues to fall. The total number of students is 4.0%
lower this spring than last year at this time, but the FTE total is only
down by 1.3%.
Our tuition revenue target for Spring 2003
will be about $7.9M. Last year, tuition revenues increased 5.4%
after this time. If a similar pattern is followed this year, we will
gross approximately $7.5M in tuition revenue this spring.
-
While we do not have a specific FTE target for
spring terms, we usually expect to register about 90%-92% as many Full-time
Equivalent Students in the spring as we did the prior fall. Our Fall 2002
FTE ended at 4,416 FTE. The projected 4129 FTE for the spring is 93.5% of 4416.
