Parents, families, friends and other members of each student's "support system" are welcome to watch classes from the observation area adjacent to the pool. Only program participants should be in the pool area.
We make every attempt to accurately assess each student's skill level and group him/her with other students of similar abilities. Because of our progressive system, a student may repeat a class prior to entering the next level. Our goal is to individualize instruction as much as possible.
If you have special requests for classes, call us or write your suggestions of the registration form.
Our facility and locker rooms are used by students, faculty, and members of the community. We provide locker room attendants to assist your children. Children ages 4 and older must use the correct gender locker rooms.
Parents: we ask that you have your children bring their towel in the pool or drying area of the shower rooms so they can dry off before returning to their lockers.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are available upon request. We recommend enrolling students in private lessons if they are struggling in the group setting or are much older than the other students at the same skill level. Private lessons are a way to get a significant amount of one-on-one time with an instructor. Sometimes just one or two half hour lessons can help a child catch up to the rest of the class if they are struggling. Lessons are $12 for each half hour of lessons.
To register for private lessons or have any questions answered please contact the Kress at (920) 465-2449.
Registration Information
Information packets and registration forms will be mailed out to those on our mailing list prior to the first registration date. If someone in the family has been enrolled in lessons at any time we automatically put you on our mailing list. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be added, please contact the front desk of the Kress Events Center at (920) 465-2449.
Registration will be at the Kress Events Center (KEC) on the UW-Green Bay campus.
Due to scheduled University classes in the KEC, participants are not allowed to enter the KEC before 5pm. Numbers will be handed out at 5pm. An individual may sign up for more than one family for carpool reasons, but the families must be registered for the same time. Each family must use a separate form to register.
Registrations will be taken Monday - Thursday from 9am till 6:30pm at the front desk of the KEC. Registrations will not be accepted through the mail.
You may use one form to register more than one child, but clearly indicate the class in which each child is to be enrolled. If a student has a medical situation including physical and mental handicaps that might affect participation, please include that information on the registration form. This is very important as the more information the instructor knows about your child the better he/she can facilitate your child's special needs.
Teacher Aid Course
Learn-to-Swim has created a program for students who are interested in continuing their swimming skills and knowledge, who have advanced through the Learn to Competitive swim level, and who, because of age limits, may be waiting for a life guarding course. This program is open to any student who is 11 years old, and is interested in assisting a trained instructor in teaching all levels of the learn-to-swim courses. The student must have a willingness to communicate with other students, and take initiative with teaching these swimming skills to other students.
