Patrick Forsythe (NAS)
Education: B.S. in Environmental Biology from Eastern Illinois University (2001); M.S. in Biology from Eastern Illinois University (2003); Dual major Ph.D. in Zoology and Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Behavior from Michigan State University (2010).
Research interests: My research interests are generally in the fields of population ecology and conservation biology focusing on aquatic ecosystems in the Midwest/Great Lakes region. However, because of dramatic declines that freshwater fish stocks have experienced due to the effects of pollution, barriers to migration, habitat loss, and over-exploitation, I tend to focus on questions that seek to understand the behavioral and ecological mechanisms that contribute to variation in the annual abundance of fish populations including lake sturgeon and yellow perch.

Other interests/hobbies: Jogging, mountain biking and weight lifting; playing the guitar; gardening; fishing; watching movies; exploring the world with my wife and twin boys.
Jenell Holstead (HUD)
Education: B.A. in psychology from The Pennsylvania State University (2005); M.S. in educational psychology from Indiana University (2008); Ph.D. in School Psychology from Indiana University (2010).
Research interests: Academic Impacts of Out-of-School Time Programs; Summer Learning Loss; 21st Century Community Learning Centers After School Programs

Other interests/hobbies: Traveling (anywhere); Photography/Videography; and spending time with my family and friends.
Yunsun Huh (DJS/Economics)
Education Information: B.A. in Economics from Kangnung National Univeristy, Kangnung, Korea, M.A in Economics from Yonsei University, Seoul Korea, Ph.D in Economics from the University of Utah. USA.
Research Interests: I am interested in how socioeconomic and institutional background affects human capability and gender inequality in our society. My specialties include the areas of Immigration, Economics of Gender, Labor Economics, Econometrics, and Applied Microeconomics; they are reflected on my dissertation based on quantitative analysis utilizing IPUMs data. In addition, I conducted research related to Economic History, Demography and Health Economics utilizing large data sets, the Utah Population data base and nation-wide survey data of Korea.
Courses: I have taught microeconomics (at the introductory and intermediate levels) for both undergraduate and master students, mathematics for economics, and introductory macroeconomics. This fall I will teach Economic History of Though, Principle of Microeconomics, and Capability approach, part of Introduction to Democracy and Justice Study.
Other interests/hobbies: I like to play tennis, skiing, hiking and zumba dance. Basically, I like most outdoor sports and activities although I am not that good at. I like to go symphony as well as pop concert. My favorite band is MUSE.

Education Information: B.A. in History - Liberal Arts with American Indian Studies minor from UW-Eau Claire (1994); M.A. in History with American Indian History emphasis from the University of Oklahoma (1996); PhD in Educational Policy Studies (History of Education and Policy Analysis concentrations) and Curriculum and Instruction minor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (expected Spring, 2012).
Research interests: Public representations of Native people; History of American Indian education; curriculum policy and politics; culture-based education; instructional design

Eric J. Morgan – Democracy and Justice Studies

Research interests: U.S. in the world; transnational social movements; African colonization and decolonization; espionage; American popular culture

Other interests/hobbies: My insistent wanderlust has taken me across the United States and the world, and I particularly enjoy traveling to the American West, Southern Africa, and Western Europe. I also love the outdoors and am an active cyclist, runner, and hiker. During the long months of winter in Wisconsin, I will be spending my leisure time cross-country skiing, reading fiction, creative writing, cooking, dabbling in songwriting, and catching up on indie rock and film. Finally, as a native of Cleveland, Ohio, I am a reluctant and wary sports fan who hopes to experience just one professional championship in my lifetime.
