At the Boundary:
Works by Karen Winzenz

Featuring twenty-eight works from the years
1979-94 this exhibition was a mini-retrospective of Winzenzs
painted sculptural works. Influenced by the ritual art and architecture
of prehistoric, tribal and non-Western cultures. Karon Winzenz
is an Emerita Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Green
Bay. Winzenz has been active as a professional artist and teacher
for over 25 years. She received her B.A. from Lawrence University,
her M.S. in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her
MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has an extensive
exhibiting history that includes many one-person and groups exhibitions.
She has been awarded a number of corporate and public commissions
and her work can be found in over sixty private, public and corporate
collections across the country.
