UW-GREEN BAY
PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM IN EDUCATION

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Professional Program in Education is a vital component of the Institute for Learning Partnership. University professors and classroom teachers are engaged in meaningful collaborations to improve students' learning. This has included collaborative research through the Institute's grants to improve teaching and learning.

Other partnership collaborations help pre-service students to connect course work with the field of teaching. Some required courses for admission into the education program give students the opportunity to experience teaching in the field before they make a commitment to teaching as a career. They also gain the opportunity to mentor students at schools while they assist in the classroom. In addition, pre-service education students, in a variety of courses, work directly with students in area schools.
