Taking a Test
Your instructor may use clickers to conduct a self-paced test or quiz, in which you will be handed a paper questionnaire and must answer them with the clicker. Here are the steps to taking such an exam.
Access the Test Interface
- Press MENU
- Use the up/down arrows, or press the number 3 to enter Test/Homework Mode
- Press 1 to begin a new session
- Enter the control ID number given by the instructor
- use the left/right arrows (1 and 3) to move among the letters and numbers,
- press SEL to select a character
- Press Enter button when finished
- Press YES to confirm
- Question 001 will appear on your screen
Answering Questions
- Press Ans Mode (pencil) to change the input options
- 1: Enter a single numeric answer
- 123: Enter a numeric answer up to 14 digits long (decimals are allowed)
- 123 ABC: Enter a combination of letters and numbers (up to 16 characters) Use the left/right arrows to move among characters and press SEL to select.
- A: Enter a single letter
- The clicker will store your answer when using a single number or letter Input mode. For 123 or 123 ABC answers, press Enter to store and proceed to the next question.
- Use the Up/Down (YES/NO) arrows to go forward or backward through the questions. (Up will go to a previous question) Previous answers may be changed. Press Go To ? to enter the question number you want to access.
- When finished with the entire Test, press MENU
- Press YES to Leave Test Mode
- Press 1 to Save & Send
- Press 2 to Save (but not send data)
- Press 3 to Delete the entire test session
Additional Information
- To go back into a test, start in the Test/Homework Mode screen and press 2=Manage Session
- Select the Control number for the test you want to re-enter
- If it is no longer editable you can select from one of the choices in step 5 above
- If it is editable you can re-enter the test and change answers
