What Login Do I Use?
To Login to the Cofrin Library at UW Green Bay and use:
- online databases
- E-Reserves,
- Electronic Books and journals
You will need to use your UW Green Bay campus network user name and password. This is the same one that you use to access your campus e-mail account or D2L course. You should have received a letter with this information upon acceptance into the program.
Student usernames consist of the first four characters of their last name, their first and middle name initials, and the two-digit day of the month that they were born. For example, Mary Kay Jones’s birthday is May 4th, so her username is jonemk04. (Note: There are occasional exceptions to this syntax.)
The initial password is the first letter of the student’s last name (capitalized), followed by the # sign, followed by the 9-digit Campus ID number. Example: J#123456789 (Note: For all accounts that were created prior to Sept. 15, 2007, the initial password was set as the 9-digit Campus ID number only.)

It is very important when trying to access the library's electronic resources that you go in them via the library's website. This will redirect you through the campus proxy server, which tells the database that you are an authorized user. If you try to access a database or electronic journal directly, your user name and password will not work.
Using UB (Universal Borrowing) and the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan System.
Logging into these is a little different. To access your account in these:
- Use your full last name in lower case letters
- Your password is your full 16 digit Passport ID number. This can be found on the front of your campus ID or in your acceptance letter.
If your online course is being hosted through Learning Innovations at Madison, your course will also have its own separate login. Contact your instructor for assistance.
Please call the CIT Help Desk at 920-465-2309 if you are having problems with your user name or password. Library staff do not have access to information about your computer account for your privacy and security.
