Finding Literature Review and Meta-Analysis articles in the Cofrin Library

Several of the Cofrin library databases will be helpful in finding review articles for your topic. Many of the databases will have helpful limiting features that allow you to limit to specific types of publications. Be sure to explore the document type limits before typing in your search terms. If the database will not allow you to limit the search, sure to include in your search one of these terms:

Databases:

MEDLINE
Description: MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. The MEDLINE file contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from approximately 4,600 current biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 foreign countries. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English language sources or have English abstracts.

CINAHL PLUS WITH FULL TEXT
Description: Provides complete coverage of the professional literature in nursing, 14 allied health disciplines and health sciences librarianship. CINAHL incorporates over 500 journals.

OmniFILE FT Mega (Wilson)
Description: Wilson OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text. Full-text articles from five additional periodical databases are also included when available: Applied Science & Technology Full Text, Art Full Text, Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature & Information Science Full Text.

Description: Provides indexing and abstracting to 168 popular and professional English language science periodicals. Academic Search Complete from EbscoHost
Complete contains indexing and abstracts for more than 8,200 journals, with full text for more than 4,500 of those titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 titles. Academic Search Complete from EbscoHostcontains unmatched full text coverage in biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion.
