Library Instruction
Mission Statement
The mission of the Cofrin Library Instruction Program is to increase information literacy within the UW--Green Bay community. Information literacy incorporates the ability to effectively identify information needs, and gather, evaluate and use information. By aiding in the development of these abilities, the Instruction Program will further academic success, prepare graduates for professional careers, and help provide the foundation for lifelong learning.
Goal
The instruction program seeks to enable the university community to recognize the value of information, the necessity for ongoing involvement in learning, and the need for critical thinking in order to make informed choices.Information Literacy Competencies and Criteria for Academic Libraries in Wisconsin
