Resources

The Cofrin Library has a variety of resources available for use, including our main collection of books, our Instructional Materials Center for teachers (IMC), periodicals collection, and local history and genealogy materials. We are also a depository library for federal government information serving the 8th Congressional district, and a depository library for state of Wisconsin publications. We also have an extensive collection of over 50,000 maps, plus numerous other specialized collections.

Computers are available on site for research purposes, including access to our collection of online databases. All library patrons are expected to abide by the campus student usage and computer lab policies describing appropriate use of our equipment.

Borrowing Materials

Students, faculty and staff of NEW ERA schools may borrow materials from the Cofrin Library free of charge. In order to check out materials, simply present your school ID at the library's Circulation Desk and let them know you are from a NEW ERA school. You will be asked to fill out a patron registration form. Borrowing privileges will be granted immediately. These privileges are good for one semester. Library privileges can be extended additional semesters as long as you are associated with a NEW ERA school.

Borrowing privileges for NEW ERA patrons are subject to all rules and regulations established for members of the Cofrin Library's campus community. For information, check the Cofrin Library circulation policies. The loan period for books is 28 days, unless otherwise stated. Most items can be renewed twice. Renewals can be made in person, by phone, or through the library's online catalog.

Please note that Interlibrary Loan and Universal Borrowing services are only available to UW-Green Bay faculty, staff and students. If you are interested in borrowing items from other libraries, please contact your home institution's library.

If you have questions regarding borrowing material from Cofrin Library, please contact the Circulation Department at (920) 465-2540 or circdesk@uwgb.edu.
