Reference & Instructional Services

The Reference & Instructional Services Department plays an active role in the intellectual life of the campus by facilitating the research process. Because we believe in the importance of developing critical thinking skills and mastering the research process as integral parts of the educational experience, the staff do not undertake subject research on the behalf of users.

Services Provided:

Assistance is provided to individuals through one-on-one reference desk service. The library instruction program provides assistance to groups through presentations and hands-on exercises. Consultation services are also available for the faculty in developing effective library assignments for their classes.

During the regular semester the professional refeerence Librarians are available during the hoursurs listed below. Summer and break hours vary. For the most current library hours check the library hours web page.

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
