Documenting in the MLA Style

Acknowledging the resources used during the research process by providing complete and accurate citations, is a courtesy to the reader and reflects your intellectual honesty. In the Humanities, the Modern Language Association (MLA) style is the preferred method of documentation. MLA style uses parenthetical citations within the text to refer to source material and a list of works cited to provide the reader with detailed information on all sources referred to in the paper. For a complete list of examples and specifics about the MLA style please refer to the MLA Handbookfor Writers of Research Papers, 6th edition REF LB 2369 G53 2003, located on the 3rd floor of the Cofrin library. Use the links below for examples, tips, and further help.
