Activist for Roma gets Green Bay welcome

Visiting Slovak activist Lubomira Slusna was awarded the key to the city by Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt at a recent reception on campus. Slusna spoke about the struggle for equality of Slovakia's Roma people, a topic she addressed at UW-Green Bay's International Women's Day Luncheon. Slusna has worked with faculty and staff here over the years to organize travel courses and service trips to work with impoverished Roma communities.
