   Graphic header: Campus Seen
Visitor from afar

Posted to Facebook earlier this week was this "Bird of the Day" photo from the banding project at Point au Sable, a few miles up the bayshore from campus. Grad student Stephanie Bielke was lucky enough to catch this relatively rare tropical gem, a Golden-winged Warbler, in her mist net. The species winters in the forests of Central America, Colombia and Venezuela before migrating north.
