Nearly 95% of the costumes for this show were made of rayon challis that was dyed and overdyed with Procion dyes to achieve subtle color variations, as well as to get the kinds of bright colors that were used in the set.  All in all, over 150 yards of white fabric was dyed.  Additionally, some costumes were hand painted (Hysterium and Pseudulous for example) to create broad, comic book style patterns in keeping with the set painting style.   Other costumes had painted trim, and still others utilized iron on transfers for Greco-Roman decorative trims.   Nearly all of the armor was underpainted and then covered with gold, silver and multicolored leaf and crackled for depth.
