Interests: Teaching interests include management, strategy, leadership, organizational theory, entrepreneurship, organizational consulting, human resource management, MIS/IS, and systems analysis. Research interests include group and team dynamics, organizational change and performance, HRM, and social issues in information technology. National Operations Director and Contract Negotiator (1993-1997); Microsoft Certified (2000-2003); Licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor II; Member AITP, AOM; Chair of social issues track for HICSS, AMCIS, DSI, IRMA.

Michael Knight is an assistant professor in management for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. He received his B.S. in Aviation Management in 1999, MSEd with majors in both Curriculum Instruction and Public Administration in 2001, and his PhD in Business Administration with majors in MIS and Organizational Behavior in 2005 from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.

Dr. Knight teaches undergraduate classes in Management, Strategy, and Managerial Information Systems.

Dr. Knight's research interests include Group & Organizational Dynamics in IT that include Technology Acceptance, Group Cohesion, End User Computing & Training, Strategic IT Development, Virtual Teams, Organizational Communication & Media Richness, and Social Responsibility in IT.

Dr. Knight serves as the Editor In Chief of the International Journal of Social and Organizational Dynamics in Information technology and is Chair of the Social Issue in Information technology tracks at the AMCIS and HICSS conferences.
