How To Apply

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for the Master's of Management program closely follow the University-wide policy for admission to graduate programs. These requirements include:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the final two years of study.
  • For international students, a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 213 on the computer-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Other methods of demonstrating English Proficiency are accepted, please contact the Office of Graduate Studies for more information.

Applicants who do not meet the 3.0 grade point average requirement or who have other deficiencies may be admitted on a provisional basis.

Prerequisite Preparation

A high quality educational experience is the driving force of the program. All courses are taught under the assumption that students have the necessary background and preparation. Such preparation includes an understanding of and demonstrated competency in Introductory Management (BUS ADM 382 or equiv), Introductory Marketing (BUS ADM 322 or equiv), Corporate Finance (BUS ADM 343 or equiv), Introductory Accounting (ACCTG 300 or equiv) and Statistics (BUS ADM 216 or equiv). Competency can be demonstrated in multiple ways, including completion of undergraduate or foundation courses in the five areas, challenge examinations, CLEP examinations, or relevant work experience. The program advisor will help prospective students explore these options.

Required Application Material

  • A completed application form and the current fee.

  • A 200-300 word statement describing principal areas of academic interest, capabilities, experience, and reasons for pursuing the M.S. degree.

  • Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from each previous college or university attended, sent directly to the UW-Green Bay from these institutions

  • Three letters of recommendation from persons who can assess the prospective student's academic potential.

  • A GRE or GMAT score send directly to UW Green Bay from the testing agency.

Special Students

Persons holding baccalaureate degrees or higher who wish to enroll in courses but who do not want to pursue a degree may enroll as special students. Graduate credit will be awarded provided that the student registers in graduate level courses as a graduate special student and pays graduate fees. To apply, complete the online application.
