Lab 2 Analyze Web Sites

Find five web sites that market a product similar to that which you will market in your final project. Analyze these sites and discuss how the sites achieved various aspects of their look and action.

Analize Each Site for the Following

1. Did the site load fast? What caused slow sites to take time to load? (Analyze as much of the source code as possible.)
2. What unifying devices did the site use? How did they use them?
   1. Color Schemes
   2. Frames
   3. Style Sheets
   4. Sounds
   5. Images
   6. Other
3. How did the appearence of the site enhance or detract from the purpose site.
4. What navigational devices did the site use?
   1. Map
   2. Menus
   3. Index frames
   4. Path indicators such as main->sub1->sub2
   5. Other
5. Was it easy to navigate? If so, why? If not, why not?
