Language Resource Center
(Language Lab)
Located in Studio Arts, Room 355
The purpose of the Language Resource Center is to enhance the learning and teaching of languages at UW-Green Bay. The facility provides students and faculty access the latest language learning technology and a wide selection of audio, video and software learning tools as well as high-speed internet access and satellite television reception from numerous countries across the globe and as such is a terrific support and complement to all of the academic language courses offered through our Modern Languages Program. Among other things, the Language Resource Center affords students learning languages at UW-Green Bay the opportunity to connect to speakers in other countries through the internet, watch current television programs from abroad, access our significant foreign film collection, practice pronunciation, play international computer programs and of course, complete their audio and video listening and writing assignments for their classes. Since none of the Language Resource Center materials circulate, you will need to use them at the Center during access hours.
The Language Resource Center is open during Fall and Spring semesters during the hours posted on the doors in SA355 or simply ask your language instructor or contact the Center (465-2732) for an updated list of lab hours or for more information.
