Dan Weaver received his B.A. in music performance from the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay and has been teaching classical guitar there since 1997. He teaches guitar at his home studio and Heid Music. He has been on the staff of the Total Guitarist summer camp at the University. He performs locally in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, and has also played with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra. Dan has studied classical guitar with Douglas Niedt, John Kolar, and John Holmquist. In 2008 he became the official guitar teacher for the Green Bay Packers working with about 12 team members. He has played lead guitar parts in the musicals such as Godspell and Man of LaMancha. He is part of the classical guitar duet Duo Classique.

Dan is also a composer and his 2002 recording The Sun Trail is all original music for acoustic and classical guitar. It is a CD of instrumentals that explore melody and development for the instrument. His Origins CD is solo classical guitar. In 2010 he also wrote his first film music for a Coast Guard documentary called Lakeshore Guardians which aired on public television and radio. Central to Dan's music life has been the field of contemporary Christian music. He has played guitar in and directed CCM bands for two decades, currently at Ascension Lutheran church. Dan plays guitar and mandolin with the bluegrass group Embrace in Gillett. He remains active as a teacher, performer, composer and clinician.
