Eric Hansen is the assistant professor of music at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. He teaches Applied Clarinet, Music Theory, Survey of Western Music, Woodwind Ensemble, Woodwind Techniques, and directs the Phoenix Pep Band. He completed a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at the University of Kentucky where he was the graduate teaching assistant for Dr. Scott Wright. He also holds two Bachelor of Music degrees, in Education and Performance, from Arizona State University where he studied clarinet with Dr. Robert Spring. Hansen’s previous teachers include Dr. Alan LaFave and Marianne Bibbey.

Mr. Hansen, a native of Wyoming, is a dedicated teacher and active performer. He has taught students of all ages and ability levels and is the clarinet instructor at the UW-Green Bay Summer Music Camps and the Yellowstone Summer Music Camp in Wyoming. Mr. Hansen has appeared in numerous recitals and concert venues in Arizona, Kentucky, Minnesota, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and internationally in Ostend, Belgium. He has performed as a featured soloist with bands in Wisconsin including the UW-Green Bay Wind Ensemble and the UW-Marshfield Concert Band. In 2005, Hansen performed as a guest soloist with the Yellowstone Jazz Festival Big Band in Wyoming. In 2003, he performed at the International Clarinet Association conference in Salt Lake City, Utah as a member of the Belgian Claribel Clarinet Choir. He has performed on several professional recordings as the principal clarinetist of the University of Kentucky Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra and as a member of the Arizona State University Wind Symphony
