Jazz Fest XLII Schedule of Events

8:00 am - 1:00 pm High School and Middle School Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, and Vocal Jazz Performances

Jazz ensembles, jazz combos and vocal jazz ensembles should prepare two or three contrasting selections. One score must be provided for each selection to accommodate the evaluation process. On-and-off-stage time is thirty minutes for each group. Following each performance there will be an onstage clinic.

11:30 - 1:15: Lunch at the University Union

12:30 - 1:15: Clinic sessions

1:30 - 2:20: Clinic session with guest artist Tom Garling

2:30 - 2:50: Announcements
Outstanding Student Performers, Outstanding Ensemble and Combo

2:50 - 3:15: Combo & Vocal Jazz Concert
High School Jazz Combo and Outstanding Vocal Jazz Ensemble

4:00: Afternoon Concert at the Weidner Center*
Featuring two High School Jazz Ensembles and the UWGB Jazz and Vocal Jazz Ensembles on the main stage at the Weidner Center.

If your school wishes to attend the evening performance, please make note of this on your registration form and send $5 for each student with your registration fee. Parents can get tickets for the concert for $12 in advance or $15 at the door.
