ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP
One Award: $1,000
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Have declared a major in Environmental Science.
- Be an undergraduate student at UW-Green Bay with Junior or Senior standing
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.0 or better (4.0 scale) at the time of application.
GEORGIA-PACIFIC ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP
One Award: $1,000
PURPOSE
Georgia-Pacific has contributed a scholarship to UW-Green
Bay to be awarded to students in Chemistry or Engineering.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.5 or better (4.0 scale) at
the time of application.
- Be enrolled as a UW-Green Bay undergraduate for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
- Have a declared major in Environmental Science (or a major in Biology,
Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics with a minor in Environmental
Science).
JAMES CASPERSON / ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
One Award: $1,300
PURPOSE
The James E. Casperson / Environmental Science Alumni Scholarship was established
in part in 1979 through a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Casperson in memory
of their son, James, who was, at the time of his death, an outstanding environmental
science student at UW-Green Bay. Starting Fall 2000, the scholarship has been augmented
with funds from the Environmental Sciences Alumni. The scholarship award
is made each year to a student whose academic record and promise of achievement
are comparable to those of James Casperson.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Be an undergraduate at UW-Green Bay with Junior
or Senior standing.
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.5 or better (4.0 scale) at
the time of application.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
- Have a declared major in Environmental Science, or a major in Biology,
Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics with a minor in Environmental
Science. Those with a personal concentration in the Environmental Science
field and with an advisor from the Science or Mathematics faculty are also
eligible.
BRAD COOK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One Award: $500
PURPOSE
The Brad Cook Memorial Scholarship has been funded through an endowment established
by the family and friends of Brad Cook, a former UW-Green Bay student. The
purpose of the Scholarship is to honor Brad Cook's memory and interest in
environmental studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Be a junior or senior student at UW-Green Bay
with a declared major in Environmental Science or Biology.
- Have a college level point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) at the time
of application.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
- Have a strong career interest in Environmental Science or Biology.
NANCY J. SELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Two Awards: $825 each
PURPOSE
The Nancy J. Sell Memorial Scholarship has been funded through an endowment
established by colleagues and friends of Professor Nancy J. Sell, a former
UW-Green Bay faculty member in Natural and Applied Sciences. The purpose
of the Scholarship is to honor Professor Sell's memory and her interest in
the physical sciences and engineering and the application of these disciplines
to environmental problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Be an undergraduate at UW-Green Bay with Sophomore,
Junior or Senior standing by the end of the Fall semester of application.
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.5 or better (4.0 scale) at
the time of application.
- Have declared a major in Pre-Engineering (ENGR or NWEP), a major or minor
in Chemistry, or a major or minor in Physics.
- Have completed a total of at least 18 credits from among the following
list of courses by the end of the Fall semester of application:
- CHEM-211, Principles of Chemistry I
CHEM-212, Principles of Chemistry II
PHYSICS-201, Principles of Physics I
PHYSICS-202, Principles of Physics II
MATH-202, Calculus and Analytic Geometry I
MATH-203, Calculus and Analytic Geometry II.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP FIRST YEAR AWARD
Two Awards: $795 each
PURPOSE
The Engineering Scholarship Program has been funded through an endowment established
by community citizens interested in supporting students who are enrolled
in the Pre-Engineering Program at UW-Green Bay.
The purpose of the first year award is to support students who have just
begun their engineering studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Have declared a major in the UW-Green Bay Pre-Engineering
Program (ENGR or NWEP).
- Have completed 12 credits in the Pre-Engineering Program by the end of
the Fall semester of application; including a mathematics course (Math 104,
202 or 203) and a chemistry course (Chem 211 or 212).
- Have a high school grade point average of 3.0 or better (4.0 scale).
- Have completed four years of mathematics and one year of chemistry (or
one year of physics) at the high school level.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP SECOND YEAR AWARD
Two Awards: $1,000 each
PURPOSE
The Engineering Scholarship Program has been funded through an endowment established
by community citizens interested in supporting students who are enrolled
in the Pre-Engineering Program at UW-Green Bay.
The purpose of the second year award is to support students who have made
a significant start in their engineering studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Have declared a major in the UW-Green Bay Pre-Engineering
Program (ENGR or NWEP).
- Have completed 30 credits in the Pre-Engineering Program by the end of
the Fall semester of application; including two courses in mathematics (Math
104/202 or Math 202/203), two courses in Chemistry (Chem 211 and 212), and
two courses in engineering (Engr 105 and one other engineering course).
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.25 or better (4.0 scale)
at the time of application.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS SCHOLARSHIP
One Award: $800
PURPOSE
The Science and Mathematics Scholarship has been funded through an endowment
established by faculty in Natural and Applied Sciences and Human Biology. The
purpose of the Scholarship is to recognize and assist outstanding UW-Green
Bay students of sciences and mathematics, including both NAS and HUB majors.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Have declared a major in one of the Natural Sciences or Mathematics at UW-Green Bay.
- Have a college level grade point average of 3.2 or better (4.0 scale) at
the time of application.
- Have a science and mathematics grade point average of 3.2 or better (4.0
scale) in science and mathematics courses.
- Have accumulated a minimum of 60 credits.
- Have accumulated a minimum of 30 credits in science and mathematics
courses.
MOOSE LODGE ROD & GUN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
One or Two Awards: up to $1,000
PURPOSE
The Moose Lodge Rod and Gun Club Scholarship is an annual gift intended to support a student with a demonstrated interest in the conservation and management of wildlife, soil, and/or water.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify a student must:
- Be an undergraduate at UW-Green Bay with Junior
or Senior standing.
- Have a college level grade point average of 2.5 or better (4.0 scale) at
the time of application.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall semester of application
and the Spring semester of the scholarship.
- Enrolled in a program of study focused on water quality, soil conservation,
or wildlife.
- Must have completed at least one semester at UW-Green Bay at the time of
application.
