Foundation Foster Parent Training for all County and Tribal* licensed Foster Parents

Foundation Training
This training is designed to develop your knowledge and skills as a foster parent. It is a companion piece to the Pre-Placement Training and expands on the concepts introduced there. It is expected that foster parents have completed Pre-Placement Training before attending Foundation Training.

The below listings are available for any county or tribal licensed foster parents. Each series is 10 sessions and will occur 1 or 2 sessions per day. To find out the exact dates and times click on "More Information".

Foundation Foster Parent Training for those licensed before 2011

Foundation Training
For those county and tribal* foster parents licensed prior to January 1, 2011 the following 4-session series options are also available. The 4 –session series is designed to meet the needs of experienced foster parents required to complete the entire series by the end of 2014, and allows you to spread out the 30 hours over those 4 years. Each year we will offer several topics for you to attend. If you attend the offered topics each year, you will have met the initial licensing training requirements by the end of 2014.

Child Care: Child care is not provided by NEW Partnership. Please check with your Foster Care Coordinator to make child care arrangements.
