Admission Requirements

To be eligible to apply to the Traditional BSN Option, applicants must have:

  • Thirty completed college credits, including at least 3 of the following required science courses
    • Biology 201/202 or equivalent
    • Chemistry 108/109 or equivalent
    • Human Biology 204 Anatomy & Physiology or equivalent
    • Biology 302 Microbiology or equivalent
  • Minimum 3.0 college GPA
  • Submit a personal essay
  • Preferred criteria:
    • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Course (CNA)
    • Community service/volunteer experience

Nurse Scholar Option: direct admission to the BSN program for academically gifted students (e.g. ACT composite score of 28 or higher, class rank in top 5%) is possible for new freshmen students. Newly admitted Freshman meeting the eligibility criteria will be contacted to apply for the limited number of spots in the scholars program in the spring before their Freshman year.
