UW-Green Bay’s Administrators Academy is the only program offered in the state of Wisconsin. This unique week long academy examines the core duties of municipal administrators, laying the foundation for solid leadership based on sound judgment and fact based knowledge. There is no other program that brings so many experts together in one place where you can learn and get your questions answered.

Learn from the authorities about the most current and important issues that affect administrators daily.

Hands-on learning

The goal of our classes is to give you the tools to immediately apply your learning to your job. Our coursework focuses on the development of technical skills, administrative knowledge, leadership abilities, and financial management. You will engage in exchanges of information, share job-related experiences, and examine challenging and thought provoking topics. Our courses are designed to combine lecture, discussion, and hands-on training.

Library of learning materials

Each course provides take home materials that serve as a reference for you back in your office. These reference materials may become one of your most important collections of knowledge.

Networking opportunities

The Academy creates a multitude of formal and informal opportunities for networking and exchanging of ideas. These contacts will be invaluable to you in performing your public official duties. There is nothing better than to be able to call someone up for a form or advice.

ICMA (International City/County Management Association)
The Municipal Administrators Academy can count as professional development for ICMA’s Voluntary Credentialing Program. For more information, go to their website at www.icma.org.

IIMC (International Institute of Municipal Clerks
The International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) has approved and recognizes the Municipal Administrators Academy for credit toward the Master Municipal Clerks (MMC).
