Social Events

To help you plan your week, we have the following events scheduled.

Sunday

First Year Welcoming Reception (4:30 - 5:30 p.m.)

The First Year Welcoming Reception is a fun time that gives the new people coming to the Institute a chance to meet their mentor and new classmates.

First Year Opening Banquet (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.)

This event is for all students. Get acquainted or reacquainted with your fellow students. First year students will sit at an assigned table with their 2nd-year mentor. Look for your mentor’s name on the tables.

Registration (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.)

Orientation (6:30 - 7:00 p.m.)

Information Session on Certificates That Can Be Earned (7:00 - 8:00 p.m.)

Open to all interested persons. It is a time to check out how to earn your certifications.

Monday

Registration (7:00 - 8:00 a.m.)

Institute Social Mixer (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.)

This get-together will be another opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships. There will be hors d’oeuvres. The hotel bar is available to purchase beverages.

Tuesday

Cosmic Bowling (5:30 buses leave; Return trip 9 pm)

The Tuesday night outing is an optional event planned to give everyone a break. Cosmic Bowling is back by popular demand. Our evening will begin with an old-fashioned pizza buffet at the bowling alley. You can sit around talking with your friends eating pizza, salad, and drinking soda.

Between 6:30-8:45 p.m., we will begin our escapade in Cosmic Bowling. You will be bowling under the disco flashing colored lights and grooving to the music while having a wild and crazy time with your friends. You don’t have to be a good bowler to participate. Anyone can come as long as you can lift a ball and throw it.

This outing includes families. The bowling alley will set up the bumpers and ramps for the younger children. Children must be able to roll the ball down the alley.

Cost: $20 - includes the pizza buffet, shoe rental, bowling ball, Cosmic Bowling and transportation to the alley. Sign up on our registration form on the back page. Please include your family and spouse.

Thursday

Class Photos (5:15-till done)

Each year we have a professional photographer come in and take pictures by class. This is a great keepsake for you to remember your classmates. You will receive your class picture when we send out the post-institute packet.

Graduation Banquet and Ceremonies (6:45 - 9:00 p.m.)

All are invited! This program is one of our proudest moments at the Institute. During this ceremony, we give out our graduation certificates, and many of our students receive their CMC designation. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor our graduates.
