Founded in 1998, the Institute is a collaborative effort of the UW-Green Bay Human Development department and the Division of Outreach and Adult Access. Institute projects are developed in partnership with community agencies and in consultation with the Institute on Dying, Death and Bereavement Advisory Board. Illene Cupit, UW-Green Bay Human Development faculty member initiated the founding of the Institute as an extension of her research interests in the field of death and dying.
Mission Statement
To promote an integrative source of support through education, communication
and outreach for those experiencing loss as well as for professionals involved
in the study and care giving of
people encountering death and loss.
