Monitoring the Health of the Great Lakes
Thursday, March 25

The first UWGB Downtown program, “Monitoring the Health of the Great Lakes," with Prof. Bob Howe was well received. Sixty-nine (69) people registered and the audience included both friends and alumni of UWGB as well as people with interest in the specific topic of the Great Lakes. Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt was on-hand to extend a special welcome to the participants.

Here are some comments from the participants.

  • Very nice presentation!
  • Well done. Interesting.
  • Well done! Good start to an important initiative.
  • Love to hear about results of study later.
  • Very interesting and worthwhile.
  • Great session! Keep them coming.
  • Well done.
  • Continue this excellent series-and build attendance with programs of broad appeal. Question period-very important.
  • Outstanding opportunity for Green Bay and community to interact and to serve community and showcase Green Bay expertise. More, more, more.
  • Very interesting topic. I enjoy the concept of connecting UWGB to City of Green Bay.
