A Dream Play
By August Strindberg, adapted by Caryl Churchill
Directed by Laura Riddle
Written in 1902, Swedish playwright August Strindberg's original Dream Play was an attempt to imitate the disconnected world of dreams in which time and space do not exist as we know them. Contemporary British playwright Caryl Churchill has adaped the play for contemporary audiences. The main character, Agnes, is on an Alice in Wonderland-like adventure to see if the world is really as difficult as people seem to believe.

Urinetown
Book by Greg Kotis, Lyrics by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann, and Music by Mark Hollmann.
Directed by John Mariano, Musical Direction by Ben Brecher
Choreographed by Denise Carlson-Gardner
A grand and satiric love letter to the conventions of musical theatre, Urinetown is the story of a Gotham-like city in which a catastrophic draught has led to draconian water-conservation measures, including a government-enforced ban on private toilets. In this time of desperate need, a hero rises up to lead the people to freedom...and the rest is musical theatre history. Winner of three Tony Awards (one for book, one for score, and a third for direction) in 2002.
"A wild and happy mix of biting satire and loving parody." -Clive Barnes, New York Post

An Enemy of the People
by Henrik Ibsen, adapted by Arthur Miller
Directed by Laura Riddle
What happens when truth conflicts with the will of the majority? An Enemy of the People explores this question through the story of Dr. Stockmann, who discovers poison in his town's water supply and is ostracized by townsmen unwilling to face the facts. Ibsen's classic theme is as valid now as it ever was. Arthur Miller adapted the play in 1950 giving us a version that makes this vivid , troubling story come as alive for the modern audience as it did in Ibsen's own time.

The Sleeper
By Catherine Butterfield
Directed by John Mariano
A suburban "security mom," shell-shocked by the new post 9/11 reality, finds herself irresistibly drawn to her son's tutor, a handsome young man with political leanings far different from her own. Her "awakening" leads to a bizarre series of events that blow the lid off her previously sheltered existence and change the lives of all around her. A dark and slightly zany comedy.
