Hi Robyn and PHD Club,
I wanted to thank you for
all your help last night. I really appreciate
that you all took time out of your schedule to
help us out. This was the first time we ever
did this event--- combining the book reading
with the annual picnic and we didn't know what
to expect--and last night was quite the learning
experience. We did not anticipate on having
that many families and/or kids at the park
although it was great to see!! During our
normal book reading in the park we have maybe 30
people in attendance at the maximum.
I appreciate how
your group stepped right in and helped out
without much direction and amongst the
confusion. I have heard a lot of positive
feedback from community members that were in
attendance on how fabulous the volunteers were
last night. Once again, thanks for helping out
with this new event It is great when these
kids can interact with adults in the
community--especially college students--it opens
up a whole new avenue of how they view
the world around them.
