Phi Eta Sigma is a national honorary society whose mission is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-year students in institutions of higher education.  Phi Eta Sigma places high emphasis on participation in community activities.

Scholarships and Fellowships

The National office of Phi Eta Sigma annually awards undergraduate and graduate scholarships and awards through the Founders Fund Scholarship Program.  UW-Green Bay has the opportunity to submit one undergraduate application and an unlimited number of graduate applications for consideration.  Applications for undergraduate scholarships may be obtained from Teri Ternes in Theatre Hall 335 or at ternest@uwgb.edu Completed applications must be returned to TH-335, by 2PM on February 15, 2012.  Members applying for graduate scholarships may also contact Teri Ternes or they may request an application form from the national office.  Further information on the application process, criteria used in the selection of a candidate and a listing of 2011-12 scholarship and award recipients can be found at http://www.phietasigma.org/sna_howapply.htm  The undergraduate application and applications for graduate scholarships will be submitted to the National Office for consideration by the UWGB chapter office. Applicants will receive a notification of their status on March 1, 2012.
