The Money Maker$ progam is a two-week residential business creation conference for high school students.
The conference is open to students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade and will be facilitated by UW-Green Bay
business faculty team teaching with entrepreneurs from the local community.
Participants learn about business development, types of businesses, and the stock market. They will use this knowledge
to create a business plan that includes financing, human resources, accounting, marketing, and advertising. Each group will
present their business plan for evaluation by a panel of University faculty and staff as well as local businesspersons.
Participants will also use various resources, including the Internet, to build and track their own stock portfolio.
At the end of the conference the team with the best scoring business plan and the best performing stock
portfolio will be presented with an award.
Students will visit local businesses to enhance their understanding of small and large businesses, individual awareness,
group dynamics, and finding the money to become an Entrepreneur.
The students go on a day-trip to the financial district in Chicago to see stocks traded at the MERC and Board of Trade.
Busing service for eligible students is available from various locations throughout Wisconsin.
Scholarships are available to those who qualify through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Precollege
